Offensive is a band I’m currently a part of, and it’s a step up from where I started. It’s a heavy/power/thrash metal band out of Maryland with a strong focus on tight playing, speed, and consistency.

I’ve played shows across the U.S. and Canada with the band, and we’ve shared the stage with Cavalera Conspiracy, Marc Rizzo from Soulfly, and Kings of Thrash, featuring David Ellefson and Jeff Young. Being in that environment pushed everything to a higher level and gave me a better understanding of how a tight band operates.

It’s a more structured and demanding setup, and it’s helped me grow a lot in how I play and perform. It’s something I’m still actively a part of and continuing to build with.

Shattered Earth was my first band, started with a group of my friends. Most of what we did was centered around actually playing...practicing all the time, writing together, and getting on stage whenever we could.

We spent a lot of time in the same rooms, working through songs, figuring things out as we went, and slowly getting tighter as a band. Playing live shows was a big part of it, and that’s where everything really started to click. Over time, that turned into releases like Frenzy and eventually Arrival in 2024, which reflects how much we had grown just from putting in the hours.

The band isn’t active anymore, everyone ended up going in different directions, but that time still matters to me. It’s where I got comfortable performing, where I learned how to work with other people creatively, and where a lot of the foundation for what I do now came from.

Mourn the Illusion is a cover band out of Lynchburg, Virginia, mostly exclusive to live shows in southern Virginia. We are focused on playing songs people actually know and want to hear live.

The set pulls from bands like Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, and Gojira, so it covers a mix of classic and heavier stuff that keeps the energy up the whole time.

The shows are where it really comes together...people get into it, sing along, and actually move around instead of just standing there. It’s a good local crowd and it always turns into a fun night.

I play lead guitar in the band, handling all the solos and lead parts throughout the set. It’s a more straightforward project, but it’s consistent, and it’s always a good time getting on stage with it.
